Coinciding with Saratoga Race Course summer meeting

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. — The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will present several events during July to coincide with the opening of the Saratoga Race Course summer meeting, which opens Thursday. Free Public Event Honoring Long Island’s Vietnam & Korean War Veterans

Farmingdale, NY (July 8, 2024) – On Saturday, August 3, 2024, American Airpower Museum and Honor Flight Long Island will co-host a patriotic reunion of 41 Vietnam War and five Korean War veterans.  On May 4, 2024, Honor Flight escorted this band of brothers on an early a.m. flight to Washington, D.C.  Veterans and their Guardians visited WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War Memorials, Arlington National Cemetery for a “Changing of the Guard,” plus took a Washington, D.C. bus tour.

The family-friendly event honors the museum’s namesake, Frances Young Tang, Skidmore College Class of ’61, and offers multiple ways for visitors to explore the museum’s stellar program of contemporary art exhibitions and events, with tours, art-making activities, food, music, giveaways and more.

New status provides access to special programming, new research opportunities, and increased funding

New ball-run experience opens to the public June 29

Tupper Lake, N.Y. – The Wild Center is thrilled to announce the opening of Raquette River Roll, an innovative ball-run experience set along its new Fen Trail. Launching on June 29, this interactive outdoor exhibit invites visitors to engage with nature through a series of elevated tracks and obstacles strategically placed along a scenic half-mile path.
