Honor Flight Long Island GuardiansFree Public Event Honoring Long Island’s Vietnam & Korean War Veterans

Farmingdale, NY (July 8, 2024) – On Saturday, August 3, 2024, American Airpower Museum and Honor Flight Long Island will co-host a patriotic reunion of 41 Vietnam War and five Korean War veterans.  On May 4, 2024, Honor Flight escorted this band of brothers on an early a.m. flight to Washington, D.C.  Veterans and their Guardians visited WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War Memorials, Arlington National Cemetery for a “Changing of the Guard,” plus took a Washington, D.C. bus tour.

Tupper Lake, N.Y. – The Wild Center is thrilled to announce the opening of Raquette River Roll, an innovative ball-run experience set along its new Fen Trail. Launching on June 29, this interactive outdoor exhibit invites visitors to engage with nature through a series of elevated tracks and obstacles strategically placed along a scenic half-mile path.
