The family-friendly event honors the museum’s namesake, Frances Young Tang, Skidmore College Class of ’61, and offers multiple ways for visitors to explore the museum’s stellar program of contemporary art exhibitions and events, with tours, art-making activities, food, music, giveaways and more.

Saratoga Springs, NY (June 30, 2024) – Saratoga Performing Arts Center announces that GE Vernova will serve as the new lead sponsor of Saratoga Jazz Festival, beginning in 2025. The two organizations will embark on a five-year partnership, with $200,000 committed from GE Vernova for each year, ensuring the vibrancy and longevity of Saratoga Jazz Festival, one of the largest jazz events in North America. The sponsorship also signals the alignment of SPAC’s and GE Vernova’s shared values of tradition, innovation, community and sustainability.

Albany Pine Bush Discovery CommissionAlbany, NY – The Albany Pine Bush Preserve is seeking new Volunteer Docents & Volunteer Educators. Volunteer Docents are friendly greeters that welcome visitors to the Discovery Center, an interpretive center located at 195 New Karner Road in Albany. They are informal educators assisting visitors by answering questions and providing visitor orientation. Volunteer Educators lead Pine Bush-centered education programs for a diversity of audiences including school, public and special interest groups ages pre-k through adult.  Experience as an educator or with public speaking is helpful but not required. All necessary training for both positions will be provided.

The Orchard ProjectSaratoga Springs, N.Y. (June 24, 2024) — The Orchard Project today announced the artists and companies selected to participate in its 2024 Summer Performance Lab program. The 16 projects and artistic teams come from a competitive group of more than 1,000 that applied to participate in this year’s program. Participating projects include the new musical SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED, with music and lyrics by Ryan Miller (of the band Guster) and a book by Nick Blaemire and the new play THE HAUNTING OF SHIRLEY JACKSON by Kate Walat.

Cosi Fan TutteSaratoga Springs, NY (June 24, 2023) - La Scuola degli Amanti – The School for Lovers – was always the subtitle of Mozart’s and librettist Lorenzo da Ponte’s third collaboration together, Così fan Tutte. Director Gisela Cardenas and Conductor Ryan McAdams bring this comic opera to life at Universal Preservation Hall in downtown Saratoga Springs.
