Clayton, N.Y. (May 24, 2023) – The Antique Boat Museum is pleased to announce the 2023 summer session of the Captain School at ABM with instructor Captain Tom Trovato.  The Captain School at ABM offers courses necessary to secure a captain’s license.  During this session, the Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) is being offered.  Upon completion of all coursework and testing, students will have the materials to apply for their Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) through the U.S. Coast Guard at the OUPV level.

Waddington, NY.  - The 20^th Annual St. Lawrence International Jr. Carp Tournament will be held August 3 – 5, 2023.  To commemorate this milestone, organizers are planning additional highlights; to include inviting all Grand Champions to return, along with many others who were instrumental in its popularity and success throughout the years, beginning in 2003. The tournament takes place on the banks of the St. Lawrence River along a 30 miles stretch of New York’s northern border, stretching from Massena to Ogdensburg, testing the skill and techniques of young carp anglers over two days.

Oswego, N.Y. – The Fort Ontario Conference on History and Archaeology will return to the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center at 26 East First Street in Oswego, NY on March 25-26, 2023. The conference will run from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday.
