Museum of Ice CreamThe world famous attraction is inviting the public to share their “sweetest ice cream memory” for a chance to win free admission

2019-HeavenlyEchoesSaratoga Springs, NY (June 28, 2022) — The Tang Teaching Museum’s acclaimed summer concert series Upbeat on the Roof begins Thursday, July 7, with a gospel performance by one of the region’s most-beloved groups Heavenly Echoes. The concert begins at 6 pm on the lawn outside the Tang. New this year, the Tang features a drop-in art-making table for kids beginning at 5:30 pm.

Genesee County Fair 2021"Homegrown with Pride - Steeped in Tradition"

Historic Fair returns to Batavia, NY July 23-30

Batavia, N.Y. – The Genesee County Fair, one of the longest consecutively running county fairs in New York State, returns for its 182nd year at the Genesee County Fairgrounds. This year’s fair will take place Jul. 23-30, 2022 with its Midway open every day of the event. Admission is free and parking is just $10 per carload, making it an affordable event for the family.  

Run 100% by volunteers, the Genesee County Fair continues to grow. Over the eight days, spanning two weekends, attendees will enjoy nightly live music, classic fair foods, meet and greets with animals and a Midway courtesy of Hammerl Amusements. During Kids Days (Jul. 23, 27 and 30), ride wristbands for kids aged 16 and under are only $15. …

Staatsburg, N.Y.  (6/23/22) – In recognition of Independence Day, Staatsburgh State Historic Site will be offering their program “Slavery, Segregation & Staatsburgh,” exploring themes of race, freedom, and citizenship, based on recent research into Staatsburgh’s history. Join Historic Interpreter Zachary Veith for a conversation about the long path from enslavement to freedom taken by Black men, women, and children within the context of the Staatsburgh estate, built by the son of a signer of the Declaration of Independence. In addition to this special program, the site will be open for mansion tours on July 4.

For three weeks only, a spectacular array of creatively styled table settings and floral arrangements inspired by popular motion pictures—including A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Cats, Charlotte’s Web, Cruella, and Toy Story—will be displayed in the Multipurpose Hall and select areas of the historic mansion.
