Governor Kathy Hochul, Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton, Delta Air Lines and Queens Museum Executive Director Sally Tallant today announced the selection of six world-renowned, New York-based artists to create permanent large-scale art installations at Delta's $4 billion new Terminal C at LaGuardia Airport. The project supports the Port Authority's overall vision and plan to transform the customer experience across all its facilities, including at LaGuardia airport through inspirational public art, operational excellence, 21st century technology and world-class functionality. Terminal C's modern, world-class arrivals and departures hall is anticipated to open later this spring.

Ticonderoga, NY - Robert Rogers and his Rangers return to Fort Ticonderoga Saturday, February 26, 2022 through the dramatic 1759 Battle on Snowshoes reenactment from 10am-4pm!

The Battle on Snowshoes event vividly recreates the final winter battle between a scout of Mohawk warriors, British Regulars, and Rogers’ Rangers, versus the French garrison of soldiers, Canadians and Native American warriors at Fort Ticonderoga on March 7, 1759. This event is designed to be a rich experience for guests of all ages as they explore the final Battle on Snowshoes within the year 1759.

Russell, a Grammy Award-winning vocalist, and seven-time Rochester International Jazz Festival favorite, will perform in Rochester at 7:30 p.m on March 15, 2022, at The Theater at Innovation Square in downtown Rochester.

The performance is presented by RIJF, LLC, the company owned by John Nugent and Marc Iacona that produces the annual CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival.

Governor Kathy Hochul today encouraged New Yorkers to take advantage of the State's first Free Fishing Weekend of 2022, on February 19 and 20, when freshwater anglers are permitted to fish for free without a license.

"New York State is home to many great fishing spots, and I encourage both new and experienced anglers alike to take advantage of the annual February Free Fishing Day, which gives everyone the chance to appreciate the great outdoors at no cost and introduce family and friends to a new hobby," Governor Hochul said. "Getting outside to experience New York's natural beauty is a perfect way to have fun and recharge at one of New York's many world-class fishing destinations. Visiting your local fisheries provides both recreational enjoyment and serves as a vital economic generator, supporting local economies statewide."…
