Howes Cave, NY–The Iroquois Museum in Howes Cave, NY, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 4, celebrating the completion of a $400,000 expansion to its 7,500-square-foot facility.
“We’re excited to welcome visitors to our beautiful longhouse-inspired museum with a new, light-filled entrance—and to share even more Haudenosaunee culture through expanded exhibit space,” said Steph Shultes, Iroquois Museum Director.

The parade will end at the reenactment site where a portion of Philip Hone’s groundbreaking speech will be read.

Olana Third Thursdays are free monthly community days of tours and programs for all ages. Visitors can start the day looking mindfully at works of art in the Sharp Family Gallery in the Historic House. Morning Mindfulness in the Gallery held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, will be led by local art therapists who will include mindfulness practices to deepen your experience of the two artworks on view.
