Rochester, N.Y., March 13, 2025—  On March 22 the George Eastman Museum will present Home Movie Day, bringing this free, worldwide event to Rochester, New York.

Home Movie Day invites the public to see and share their own home movies with an audience from their community. The community is invited to bring their films and videos to screen or just come to experience the vast array of fascinating amateur movies from the Rochester area.

Names Timothy Peterson as Juror

Rochester, NY (Feb. 19, 2025) —The Memorial Art Gallery (MAG) announces that Timothy Peterson will serve as juror for the highly anticipated 69th Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition (RFLX), the region’s longest-running juried showcase of artists from Western and Central New York. Open to artists across 27 counties, RFLX serves as a platform for emerging and established talents working in all media. The exhibition will be on view at MAG from June 28 through October 5, 2025, highlighting the region’s dynamic artistic community.

Rochester, NY (Feb. 11, 2025) —The Memorial Art Gallery (MAG) is pleased to celebrate and expand access to South Asian art through innovative collaborations, commissions, and educational programming, with the generous support of Dr. Vikram Dogra and the Dogra Art Foundation. From commissioning a contemporary mural by an international artist to hosting thought-provoking lectures that examine the rich history and cultural significance of South Asian artistic traditions, MAG and the Dogra Art Foundation are working together to elevate South Asian creativity and scholarship in North America, and right here in the Rochester, NY community.

Linwood, N.Y. – When Livingston County ranked potential farmland protection projects in 2021, Woodlawn Farms in York ranked as the second highest.  This was an impressive result considering Livingston County has some of the best ground in New York State and may be one of the most competitive places for farms seeking permanent protection thanks to the long history and robust collaboration between Livingston County, individual towns, and Genesee Valley Conservancy to protect farmland here.

Rochester, NY (Jan. 27, 2025) —The Memorial Art Gallery invites visitors to its 24th Annual Black History Month Celebration Day, a free community event featuring live performances, art, dance, music, panel discussions, vendors, and more, on Sunday, February 9, from 12–5 pm. Enjoy live performances (African dance and drums, step teams, spoken word, contemporary dance, poetry, and live music with DJ Ironwill), interactive activities (arts and crafts, face painting, Art Grows Here garden planting, and photo souvenirs), panel discussions, a vendor market featuring Black-owned businesses, a fashion show highlighting Black designers and stylists, and more.

Rochester, N.Y., January 23, 2025— On Sunday, February 9, the Eastman Museum Council will present the 2025 Valentine's Day Brunch & Film with all proceeds benefiting the George Eastman Museum. The event starts at 10 a.m. in the Potter Peristyle and includes a film screening in the Dryden Theatre.
