Saratoga Springs, N.Y. — The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its 1950 founding with numerous special exhibitions, a variety of signature events, and expanded programming throughout 2025.

National Museum of Racing and Hall of FameSaratoga Springs, N.Y. — Eight racehorses, seven trainers, and one jockey account for the 16 finalists that will comprise the National Museum of Racing’s 2025 Hall of Fame ballot, as chosen by the Museum’s Hall of Fame Nominating Committee. The finalists are racehorses Blind Luck, Game On Dude, Groupie Doll, Havre de Grace, Kona Gold, Lady Eli, Rags to Riches, and Smarty Jones; trainers Christophe Clement, Kiaran P. McLaughlin, Kenneth G. McPeek, H. Graham Motion, Doug F. O’Neill, John W. Sadler, and John A. Shirreffs; and jockey Jorge F. Chavez. Groupie Doll, Smarty Jones, and McPeek are each a finalist for the first time.

Lake Placid, N.Y. (January 27, 2025) – The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (Olympic Authority) announces the return of Viessmann International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup to the Olympic Jumping Complex for a third straight year. This year’s event, set for February 6-9 on the HS 128 large hill, will include both men’s and women’s competitions, marking the first time a women’s World Cup has taken place in the United States.

Nov. 14 Event Offers Unique Insights, Stories, and Book Signing to Benefit the Museum

Saratoga Springs, NY – The Saratoga Springs History Museum will host a special event on Thursday, Nov. 14, celebrating the rich history and enduring legacy of the Travers Stakes,

America’s oldest thoroughbred race for 3-year-olds. Featuring racing historians and acclaimed authors Brien Bouyea and Michael Veitch, this unique event will showcase their latest book, The Travers: Saratoga’s Midsummer Derby, 1864 – 2023, a comprehensive, visually stunning coffee table book chronicling the first 154 editions of Saratoga’s legendary race. Thoroughbred Racing Commentary’s Charles Hayward describes it as “the best racing book since Seabiscuit.”…

National Museum of Racing and Hall of FameSaratoga Springs, N.Y.  — The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame’s sixth annual Photo Finish exhibition will open in the Museum’s von Stade Gallery on Saturday, Nov. 2. The exhibit will also be available on the Museum’s website at Photo Finish: 6th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition | National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame (racingmuseum.org). The onsite exhibition will run through Feb. 2, 2025. The online exhibition includes all photographs exhibited at the museum, as well as additional selections.
