Three days of events May 9-11 will allow public to relive the capture of Fort Ticonderoga by Benedict Arnold, Ethan Allen, and the Green Mountain Boys

Ticonderoga, N.Y. — “No Quarter!,” a series of once-in-a-lifetime historic reenactments and events running from May 9-11, will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the pivotal capture of Fort Ticonderoga. At the very locations where events unfolded, a three-day immersive experience will transport visitors back to dawn of the American Revolution and our nation’s first victory.

Ticonderoga, NY (March 11^th, 2025) – The Ticonderoga Best 4^th In The North Committee, a subcommittee of the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP) is thrilled to announce their annual fundraiser, “Best 4^th In The North Night” at The Pub will take place at Maddens Pub on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. This event has become one of the committee’s biggest fundraisers. The list of guest bartenders will be announced on the Best 4^th In The North Facebook page. 

Long Lake, N.Y. – On Sunday, March 16th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the Town of Long Lake Parks and Recreation Department will host a Celtic Ceilidh (prounced kay-lee) at the Long Lake Town Hall located at 1204 Main St. in Long Lake NY.

February 15^th and 16^th, 2025

Raquette Lake, N.Y. – The Raquette Lake Winter Carnival will kick off on Saturday, February 15^th  with youth activities starting at 10:30am. Games will include a variety of fun activities for kids including sack race, sledding, tire obstacle, balloon chase, and tug-of-war.  At noon there will be a Ladies Frying Pan Toss with cash prizes of $75, $50, $25. Weather permitting, the Team Ice Golf Competition will be held throughout the day for teams with cash prizes of $75, $50, $25.

Long Lake, N.Y. – Six eateries in Long Lake, NY will be showcasing their great eats for Long Lake, NY’s Winter Wonderland Week. Diners are invited to enjoy meals at The Long View Lodge, Long Lake Diner, Adirondack Hotel, ADK Trading Post, Brookside Hops and Hoagies and the Waypoint Cafe. Long Lake Restaurant Week takes place from Friday, February 14th to Sunday, February 23^rd.

Eighty-four percent of those surveyed believe tourism positively impacts their community

Lake Placid, NY (January 27, 2025) – The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism has compiled and released the results of its third annual tourism impact survey, conducted in late 2024. 

The survey gathered feedback from residents and business owners in Essex and Hamilton counties, as well as the villages of Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake, regarding their perceptions of tourism's impact on the local economy and community.

Women’s and Men’s FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Headed to Olympic Jumping Complex Feb. 6-9

Lake Placid, N.Y. (January 27, 2025) – The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (Olympic Authority) announces the return of Viessmann International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup to the Olympic Jumping Complex for a third straight year. This year’s event, set for February 6-9 on the HS 128 large hill, will include both men’s and women’s competitions, marking the first time a women’s World Cup has taken place in the United States.

Hague, NY (January 24, 2025) – The Annual Town of Hague Winter Weekend will be held Friday, February 14^th through Sunday, February 16^th, 2025 with an array of events and activities taking place throughout the community. This celebration is a must do event in Hague, NY each winter that is made possible by a number of local organizations.

Americana Corner grant allows Fort Ticonderoga to tell signature 250^th stories

Ticonderoga, N.Y. - Fort Ticonderoga is thrilled to announce a five-year expansion of our weapons demonstrations and signature living history events through the Guns for Ticonderoga project funded by Americana Corner. 

Thanks to the generous support of Americana Corner, Fort Ticonderoga has embarked on recreating two complete American artillery pieces with cannon, carriages, inert reproduction ammunition, and the implements Continental Army artillerymen employed with these guns.
