This debut is one of 15 weekends of racing in a global series that spans 10 countries and tests pro riders across a wide range of courses and climates as they look to accumulate points toward an overall championship. Recreational mountain biking has long been a feature of Mt Van Hoevenberg, and this UCI Mountain Bike World Series event marks the debut of a world-class professional mountain biking competition at this historic site, known for hosting Nordic skiing and sliding sports events during the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games.
