This debut is one of 15 weekends of racing in a global series that spans 10 countries and tests pro riders across a wide range of courses and climates as they look to accumulate points toward an overall championship. A New Epoch in Lake Placid Mountain Biking -- Witness all the action from close range as the top male and female mountain bike cross-country and short track riders in the world battle for position during mass starts and take on the challenging landscapes of the Mt Van Hoevenberg course. Iconic Venue on the Mountain Bike International Stage -- Mt Van Hoevenberg is a symbol of sportsmanship, endurance, and the competitive spirit. Recreational mountain biking has long been a feature of Mt Van Hoevenberg, and this UCI Mountain Bike World Series event marks the debut of a world-class professional mountain biking competition at this historic site, known for hosting Nordic skiing and sliding sports events during the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games. Adding mountain biking to an already-packed winter sports World Cup calendar further solidifies Lake Placid as a year-round destination for elite global competition and training.
