An official Path Through History Site! Saratoga Race Course has hosted Thoroughbred horse racing since 1863. It has been named one of the world's top 10 oldest organized sporting venues by Sports Illustrated. Saratoga Race Course has unique features including a mineral spring, gazebo, shaded picnic grounds, fine dining, and top-quality vendors. The venue hosts some of the world's best horses and most important races including the famous Travers Stakes. It is the third oldest race track/course in the US. It is typically open for racing from late July through early September.
