An official Path Through History Site! Founded in 1912 as the City of Rochester's Municipal Museum, this is Rochester’s hub for lifelong science learning. Experience the thrill of invention and innovation through hands-on exploration at the Science Museum, by hitting the 6 miles of idyllic trail at Cumming Nature Center, or discovering the wonders of the universe in the recently renovated Strasenburgh Planetarium. The Museum and Center contain three floors of hands-on, interactive exhibits in science and technology, natural science, and regional cultural heritage, stimulating broad community interest and understanding of science and technology, and their impact (past, present, future) on our lives.
