Binghamton Zoo
Animal lovers, assemble! New York State offers many opportunities to ooh, aah, and aww at cute little (or big!) faces at zoos, aquariums, farms, sanctuaries, and wildlife centers.
Zoos can be found in most major cities, from Central Park Zoo and Bronx Zoo in New York City, to Buffalo Zoo, Ross Park Zoo in Binghamton, Utica Zoo, Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park in Syracuse, and Zoo New York in the Thousand Islands.
Go under the sea at Aquarium of Niagara, which hosts penguin and seal encounters, shark and stingray feedings, and "Trainer for a Day" opportunities. Long Island Aquarium features a 120,000-gallon shark tank, touch tanks, year-round sea lion shows, and more than 100 interactive exhibits.
The New York Times calls The Wild Center and Wild Walk “stunning!”—with its daily animal encounters and nature trails where sky’s the limit as you experience an exclusive bird’s-eye view of the Adirondacks. Practice your bird calling at Berkshire Bird Paradise, home to more than 2,000 birds of 150 species. Explore more Unique Animal Experiences in New York State.
