  • Buffalo’s city parks system was built by the renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed Central Park in New York City.

By Train

Take Amtrak to Buffalo Exchange Street (BFX) or Buffalo Depew (BUF). Taxi service is available upon arrival at Depew and the Exchange Street station is walking distance from downtown Buffalo and Canalside.

By Plane

Start your journey by flying into Buffalo Niagara International Airport, located just 15 minutes east of downtown Buffalo.

By Car

By car, Buffalo is 2 hours from Toronto, 3 hours from Cleveland, 4 hours from Albany, 6 hours from Philadelphia, and 7 hours from Boston.

Getting Around

By Bus

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority operates several bus routes throughout Buffalo, including the #20 Metro Bus which ties together several of the city's most popular neighborhoods, including downtown, Allentown, the Elmwood Village and the Museum District. The #40 Metro bus provides service from Buffalo to Niagara Falls and #24 provides service to and from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

By Rail

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority operates one metro rail line connecting the University of Buffalo to the First Niagara Center, home of the Buffalo Sabres hockey team.
